Stephanie Pillinger

Mixed-Media Artist, Torbay South Devon

I am captivated by the sea and the sky, whose everchanging moods and colours fascinate and enchant me at all times of the year – it is this that makes my home in the southwest the perfect subject and source of inspiration!

Mixing and matching my medium, depending on the effect I want to create, I build up my paintings in layers. Working with a combination of traditional techniques and tools I have fashioned myself, I combine washes of paint and layers of metal leaf, gypsum or collage to create depth and texture – making each piece that I produce truly unique.
